Press Release: Digital Innovations Educates Consumers with its Electronics Care & Maintenance Campaign

Ongoing series of instructional videos and whitepapers will now help consumers care for delicate screens on TVs, computers and mobile devices.

Arlington Heights, IL, May 12, 2011 – Digital Innovations, LLC, a leader in consumer electronics care and maintenance products as well as quality computer peripherals, is pleased to announce the continuation of its Consumer Electronics Care & Maintenance Campaign.

The ongoing campaign, which comprises a series of instructional videos and white papers aimed at helping consumers care for their electronics, will focus on screen care and cleaning in the coming months.

The revitalization of the Consumer Electronics Care & Maintenance Campaign coincides with the spring 2011 release of the ScreenDr® line of streak-free screen cleaning products.

Only ScreenDr® products offer Digital Innovations’ patent-pending StorDry™ technology, which is an innovative bottle and cap design that ensures the microfiber cloth stays with the bottle for clean and safe storage. The bottle’s vented cap also promotes quick drying to keep the cloth free from mold and mildew, making sure it’s ready to go for the next use. StorDry™, coupled with its safe and effective formula, make ScreenDr the industry standard for screen cleaning.

Digital Innovations places great importance on educating consumers about proper screen cleaning because improperly cleaning expensive TV screens, computer monitors and screens on electronic devices can cause damage and result in very expensive repairs or replacements.

“While household cleaners may be appropriate for windows and countertops, they can be very destructive to electronics,” said Digital Innovations CEO Collin Anderson. “By educating consumers on the correct way to clean and care for screens and displays, they can avoid damage to expensive equipment while enjoying a more brilliant picture.”

Anderson added that with the increased use of touch screens, sanitation should also be a concern.

“Touch screen devices like smart phones and tablet computers are fast becoming commonplace, and they tend to be breeding grounds for bacteria.” Anderson said. “We believe it makes sense to provide products and information that help consumers keep their touch screen devices sanitary,” Anderson said.

In addition to a whitepaper that provides an overview of screen technology and screen care, the campaign will include seven instructional videos. These videos will provide simple, step-by-step instructions on cleaning flat screen TVs, computer monitors, tablet computers, smart phones, MP3 players and digital cameras. The videos will warn of the dangers of household products, while demonstrating the proper way to rid screens of dirt, smudges, streaks and, where applicable, bacteria.
